>>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<<
Hello, this is Mike from Romania, I bought my TDM like 4-5 months ago. Managed to get like 2500 km on it. It's a nice bike to ride, I find it very comfortable and the handling is great! It's from '97, 4TX, 70 000 km on the clock (although I don't think this is actually true because the clocks have been changed). After I bought it I found out that it eats more gasoline than the '99+ models but still, I love the power it delivers. A TDM mechanic told me that ths model goes up to 200km/h+ more easy. I mostly driven it in the crowded, unforgiving city of Bucharest, I like the brakes and the high seat position, it allows you to see over cars and take action before something bad happens.

This is a picture from the selling ad, didn't get a chance to take some pictures myself because I want to change it's color to full silver, but it looks the same basically. I got it for 1000 euros and I spent 500 more on getting it road ready, so I guess that's was a bargain. Changed the front tire (it had a 2007 DOT) with a Michelin Pilot Road 3, brake pads, some of the oils and a new choke cable, added the missing mirror and off I go. I still need to adjust the carbs, it needs a gasoline push along with the electric start to get it going and the plastic around the clocks is missing but safety wise she's solid now.

This is my first post, I lurked around here for some time, it's great to be part of this community!

Wish you safe rides!

If you fall, I'll be there

Hi Everyone,

I figured after lurking on this site for a month, time to introduce myself, I'm Glenn from Brisbane.

I bought my 2008 TDM 900 last October, it's pretty stock standard.  I may add some after markets pipes down the track. Power commander seems to be  mystery for the 2008 model. I contacted Power Commander the USA - they won't promise their 2007 PC3 would work in in a 2008 TDM as the US stopped importing the TDM in 2007.

Bikes I've had over the over the years:

Yahama TDM - current (best bike I've owned, so smooth - sure it's not a 4 cylinder ? ). Smile

Yamaha XT660 X - nicer

Yamaha Xt660R - nice

Ducati Multistrada -  great bit of kit, but I prefer Jap reliability   Smile

Honda Transalp XLV650 - ok.

Yamaha Diversion 900 - (great touring bike)

Honda XLV750 (Honda's first go at Dakar bike)

Kawasaki  ZR-7 (updated Zepher)

Yamaha FZR-R 250

Honda XL250

All the best - shiny side up

Hi I am Marshall (Not Eminem) Tongue and I am from San Jose and I am 25 years old and for now I don't ride any bike at all still have to buy it and gonna buy it next month

Welcome Marshal, I'd guess you have your eye on a TDM of some sort?

2002 TDM900 Yellow
Hi Marshall....tell us more about your biking expectations.....as Catteeclan said, I guess you are looking for a TDM?

Roger
Yes I have TDM in my mind but got no riding experience at all

Don't try feet up u turns for a while, TDMs carry their weight high and can catch out the unwary at low speed.

Keep checking the oil level.

Ride it like you stole it.

Welcome to the mad house.

Welcome Andy. Check out the Get To Gether section. I will be hosting a fettle day next month and am only in Chesham, so not far from you. Good to meet some fellow owners and gain invaluable knowledge.
