You'll be up for the east Anglian g2g then. We run it in late April, early May.
I have plenty of time to prepare for the Anglian G2G, I hope it does not involve tents...........

12th July is the day, due to family commitments, holidays and work, I am unable to get my white 2007 until then
Am already looking at personalising to my taste, mainly with "farkles" starting with hard wiring my Garmin Zumo 550, fitting some heating for the grips which will be Symtec heated sleeves under Pro-grip 714 grips, accessory plug, Optimate lead and of course a Carpe TDM sticker

Yay! New to me MK1 collected tonight! 44,000miles, most imprtant things done, I think - emulsion tubes, braided lines, new shock (not sure how new!), but maybe needs a valve check?
Was resident on here many years ago when I had a 4TX, which I loved until it broke while I was riding it. Can't remember my login details though, but there's a few familiar names still here!
Oh - I want some standard bars if anyones got any (posted in 'Wanted')

Howdy Folks:
I am kinda new hereâ¦..
Looking at the member list I recognize a few folks....
So without much ado, here are some simple fast factsâ¦â¦â¦
The YamaGarage
Name: Augie_Dogie (the name never changes no matter what the forum)
Marital Status: âYes Dearââ¦â¦.for 30 years
Occupation: Miner
Present Location: Las Vegas, NV
Location Before 1/2011: Western & Finger Lakes of New York State
Bikes Owned Now: '12 Yamaha Super Tenere (Black) | '93 Yamaha TDM (Yellow....Soon to be Red Line-X)
Bikes Owned Before: Buell Ulysses XB12X (Orange Hi-liter) | Honda PC 800 (Kelvinator White)
Why a TDM: I needed a project and a second "guest" bike. The TDM is an odd bird (at least for the 'states) for it's age and it is interchangable with a large amount Yamaparts.
I am Semi-famous for:
⢠Starting a Tagging thread or two (@ ADVrider)
⢠Farts that would make a dog cry
⢠Bourbon Snobbery
⢠Comedic Timing
⢠Stirring the pot

I'm new to the site and have had my 2008 TDM in black for around 2 months, purchased it from a dealer with 27,000kms on the clock, (think that converts to around 17,000 miles). My first experience with a TDM was in Newcastle 2 years ago and was most impressed but took me till now to find one here in NZ. I also ride a 2007 FJR 1300 and find that it's an ultimate touring bike with heaps of features and plenty of room 2 up. In saying that I'm finding the TDM a lot of fun as it's somewhat lighter and easier to handle but with plenty of get up and go.Have just completed a 2,200km trip around part of the South Island on some of the best biking roads in NZ. (Arthurs Pass, Hokitika, Haast Pass and back up through Central Otago to home in Kaikoura.) Plenty of twisties and a good amount of more open roads with good road surfaces where a twek of the throttle is tempting as long as you watch for the 'Boys in Blue' and all this comes with very light traffic.
Have been browsing the topics over the last few weeks and am finding the site to be excellent with plenty of info and a great bunch of members, seems like we have a small group of members here in NZ and am looking forward to catching up with one of them in the next day or so regarding some TDM bike related gear he may have for sale.. Will make an offer also to any members who may find themselves down this way to make contact as I would be more than happy with suggestions on any proposed route to help them on their way.
