Sort of... Pittsburgh is south-west corner, Scranton is north-east corner. Sort of like Wales and Scotland.

When I went out to Ireland last year I was chatting some guys waiting for the Hollyhead-Dublin ferry who were on thier way back from Northampton where they'd been to pick up a second hand Pan. That seemed a pretty long way to go for a bike.
1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now Sad

2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Bikes are much cheaper in Britain than Ireland, I went to Liverpool with my buddy when he bought an XJR 1200 a long time ago. He got a 6 month old bike about £1500 cheaper than he could find one in Cork (where I used to live) or any where else in Eire.

Only 300 miles, practically next door (well the next block). A lot closer than Darcy out in San Diego (3,000 miles)

aye Emmett is right, secondhand bike prices in Eire are silly (ie. high) they realish all kindsa shi+ o'er dare, anyting from a horrible ole Honda Revere, GPX 600's, Zepher 550's and stuff peeps over ere would only buy outa desperation. having said that biking has always been fairly popular in Eire but has really taken off big time in the last 10 year due to peeps having excess (no not a shaft drive Yam 1100) monies to play with. the insurance is really silly too.
