£117 both boikes with pillion and 3rd farty udder boikes. Jobsa carrot.

I'm not sure if fully comp is cheaper/more expensive than turd party. I went fully comp but it concerns me that they then own the boike if written off...solution don't write it off!!!
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
Who with Dappers ? Also, did you ask for ins to start in 3 weeks ?
Bennetts SR. Insured for today as i wanted to tek if to new digs. It had a different idea and battery too low to start. So gave up that idea. Will now require MOT test before move....grrrr.

Cheers, I'll give them a go. So, more messing about getting it mot'd down there now eh 🙄
Trailer it there

…..am I being dense?…..surely fully comp. will always be more expensive than 3rd party…after all, they’re covering not only

your 3rd party liability, but damage to (you &) yours too…..n’est ce pas?
The industry seems to want to do fully comp only so there is little differemce in the price (last time I asked anyway)

I have had fully comp cheaper many times. I sometimes ask for quotes for both.

It may be that they assume people who want to protect their own ve-hickle may be more careful drivers.

Prices have been similar for a long time now so no point not being fully comp.

Godda letter today saying they are going to increase my insurance by £13.19 and charge me £32 for amending the policy as i havent provided proof of no claims!! And that they wer going to help themselves to my money!!!!

I provided proof but old ins company got the date wrong so new company refused it as proof. So then I had another document that new company said was fine as proof..sent it in and they then said it wasn't proof...finally got doc with correct date on so thought that was the end of it until this letter.

Apparently all sorted now.

What surprised me was that my million years of NCD is worth £13.19!! ʘ‿ʘ

Not worth the effort.

That's a first and a nice first.
2002 TDM900 Yellow
My quotes came in at 46% up on last year. No reason for this at my end. So just the usual. I wote to them and got no reply. Since I am in the luxurious position of no longer riding, i left them to take a running jump. Now, I really must sell the bikes.

Mine went up around 60% and they refused to budge, eventually found new but still with a 25% increase, apparently due to the like of Aviva and others no longer underwriting motorcycles ?!

I've just renewed mine a couple of weeks ago - the renewal came through with a minimal increase, but I wanted to add more miles, so shopped around. Got a quote back from elsewhere (Devitts) via go compare with the mileage bumped up to 10k for £85. Went to purchase via the link and amended the proposal to include £250 cover for accessories and it went down to £75 - go figure!  I got a 10% discount for having RoSPA Gold, so bonus.

why are TDM's expensive to insure, my XJR1300 worth £3500 was £40 cheaper than my £800 totally standard TDM

it's not my time to go, it's not my time to die
the last thing I want is for my family to cry
I doubt there is rhyme or reason for any premium for any bike.
