Just doublechecking, is that also the same reading you get when you touch the two probes of the meter together too ?

If so then it's a dead short.

Delving deeper, is it still plugged in to the 'ECU'/Igniter ? If so make sure the wires for the pickup are disconnected at the system/'igniter' end, and measure again, so that all you're measuring is from the pickup coil back to the now disconnected plug

If it's still zero ohms, disconnected, the fault is on the pickup side of the circuit. In that case measure between each pickup wire and ground, to see of the pickup wires are shorting against ground together, maybe there's wires trapped behind a cover ?
