The MOT was due recently so I set about trying to get my bike ready for a pass

Had a quick 'straightening the bars' sesh that was totally non-productive and decided to buy some new renthals

Still need to get the ends tapped out so's I can fit the yammy bar ends but that's another job that can wait.Next up was the illegal reg plate. The mudguard had also been butchered so I bought some plastic offcuts off ebaygumtastictaverymuch and artistically an skill-lessly created an oem replica complete wi nobs on

This then allowed me to fit a legal sized plate and left me enough room to fit the all important reflectorlario !Next up was the shock, although it works fine, the condition of it is reeeeeeealy poor and I wasn't sure if it'd pass or not. Sooooooo, after acquiring a shock off Moose 
I had a go at swapping the springs over but got stuck at the first hurdle as I couldn't get the adjuster nut off, also the rebound adjuster was siezed and wouldn't budge.[b]Went back to my old mk1 spare shock. I'd been given a cautionary on the MOT when I had this shock fitted to my mk1 so I swapped it fer another and just stored this.....like ya do [b]However, a year after that at the next MOT I got the same cautionary about the shock, apparently it was sticking slightly and they'd suggested the pin was warped. I noticed that the lower shock mount had been slightly damaged at some point as though it's been hit wiv an hammer. No advisories on my MOT for the shock 
Just one for a slightly warped rear disc 
The plus side is the rebound adjuster works, the downside is I can't finely adjust the pre-load, BUT, it's set about right anyhoos.[b]It's got a bit of paint missing off the bottom of the big spring but I can live with that for now.Having ridden the bike wiv me noo wrenfulls I find I'm needing some up n' back risers as they are slighter further away from me than the standards, but my hands fell much more comfybum with the less rakedeyness of 'em !Next job........go ferra ride or 2 !
