Running on one cylinder..
Hey guys new to this forum altho I've had TDM's for the last 6 years and both have had the same problem.
In the wet and sometims in the dry it drops onto one cylinder. It hasn't actually ground to a total stop yet but it feels like it might. It's also been reluctant to start and sometimes it drains so much juice trying it resets all the dashboard clocks. Oh..its a 3 year old 900 btw.
I've heard rumours of duff starter solanoids but really need a clever person to tell me whats wrong.
In the absence of clever people one of you lot will do. [Image: rotflmmfao.gif]

Does it kick back in on two cylinders as you ride?
You should hear the solenoid engauging when the starter button is depressed, if not then your starter solenoid is fecked.

Yeh, probably.

If it'll start up from cold on just one cylinder then let it run for 2 minutes then spray/splash a little water onto each exhaust down pipe. On the working cylinder the water should vapourise immediately, on the duff cylinder it won't. Then you've narrowed your search down to just one cylinder.
