Can for TMD 900
Hi all,
I have noticed few of the 900 owners have non-standard cans. Does the fuel system need tweaking when replacing the original cans or does the electronic fuel system adjust automatically (which I doubt) Or I don’t need to bother with it.
Thanks
a
PS I have seen these FUEL EXHAUST on Ebay, looks like good value for money, anyone with knowledge of this product

And just to expand the topic (slightly [Image: rolleyes.gif] ), has anyone ideas for a 2 into 1 exhaust for the 900. Would this need a power commander or what?
Fitted Carbon Can stainless ovals to my TDM9. Link pipes needed a little packing where they join the originals although I believe subsequent links are sorted.
If I remember correctly ( and there's no guarantee of that) Carpies get a discount with Carbon Can Co.
They do see quote below off old forum.
I've not had to alter the fuelling on mine. Motor seems to spin up quicker and sounds so much nicer

Fuelling should sort itself out.

Yep, I have Fuel cans on mine, bought new for 220ukp via ebay. They're seemingly well made, fit well and smooth out the power delivery at lower RPM nicely. That said, you do notice the lack of jump in power at 6k that you get with the standard cans. I'm not sure whether the power has gone, or whether the Fuel cans simply provide a smoother delivery all round at no expense to top end.. would really need to get it on a dyno to determine.

Combine fitting these with the induction modification ( http://jbx9.free.fr/TDM/index.php?show=tex...e=AIR〈=en ) and you've got a radically transformed ride. [Image: biggrin.gif]

....and what's the penalty for being caught by plod with "not for road use" or "race" cans?

[Image: smile.gif] Hi Iv'e lazer prolines on mt 97 TDM ,which sound great , plod don't seem to mind as long as you dont start reving up , then pain is always having to change back to the std cans for the MOT.
In Western Australia we don't have an annual inspection, we don't even have an inspection when there is a change of owners! Only on first registration, and re-registration of an expired rego'

Our speed cameras take the picture from the FRONT of the vehicle, guess what? No front number plate.

Is it surprising we have the oldest and crappiest vehicle fleet in Australia, but the problem is we have the damn drivers to match!

Evening Fellas.

I got CCC Titanium ovals, baffles left in. Lovely deep rumble but not loud enough to disturb plod. [Image: dry.gif]

Good deal from CCC at Ally Pally this year - one can an two link pipes as I already had a can left over from me Fazer Thou (Bloody uncomfortable thing). Link pipes def too big, needed packing out [Image: sad.gif] still pops a bit on over run.

Heard a TRX on loud cans about 6 yrs ago when I had a bandit - new then I would have a TDM or TRX one day! [Image: biggrin.gif]

Ditto on mine. When I did the Bikesafe course, the Met Police who run it give your bike a pretty thorough check before you set off. They looked and listened hard to my CCC cans, but eventually expressed they were perfectly happy with them.
