My pal cried off a planned run today and to stave off going stir-crazy - and to run in my new front tyre - I went my favourite local run.
Â
West to the M9/M876 270° junction - that'll be the left side scrubbed then - and over the Kincardine Bridge. East along the Forth coast road to Culross - pronounced Coo-Rus - for a pic at the historic
Palace. On via the South side of Rosyth to North Queensferry for a look around under the bridges and in the harbour area, and a pic of the Forth Bridge and the wee
light tower - open today in the Open Doors scheme. Over the new Quensferry Crossing and West to get back home.
Â
Going clockwise worked the right side of the tyre so I think it's all good to go.
Â
The route passes five different bridges across the Forth, each of them a different type, and has a full set of speed limits from 20 to 70 plus all types of road bar single-track. Plus it can be done the other way round, all in about an hour from my house - if you don't stop. The only thing missing today was the sun.
