Something Useful From Mcn!
I know it's hard to believe but this is finally their "SCOOP"

This

Just need a iPhone now
My Super Modded TDM has gone to a new home Sad

I'm now a carbon whore!

Ooh, plod's gonna love that when yo get a tug! Not only can they tell how fast you were going, but how long it took to get there.
2 weeks and 5 days till I lose my Ring virginity!!!!!

JG,
I see the above statement in your sig.
You might want to rephrase that seeing as how you are now a 900 owner.
LOL I never noticed his sig - big enough writing though. I must be getting old! I've got to show him the way there to the Nurburgring, though Him not got a niner, though CB.

Edited to remove implication that I might be gay, despite being a 900 owner.
Ooooh that looks pretty good. Hope they do it for Blackberry soon. Cant justify the cost of an Iphone.
How long before the cops seize the database or your phone and trawl through it looking for speeding offences. Its like creating the evidence for them !

interesting one - in the normal scheme of events, ie getting pulled for speeding etc, then the evidence would probably be inadmissible (non coroborated, uncallibrated, right to avoid self incrimination etc.) however, if things got a little more sinister, i.e the investigation of a fatal accident then I would imagine a coroner may take this into account (as they do with phone records for text messages etc.)

if you have your GPS enabled device switched on, then all the data is logged .
This app from MCN simply makes it easier to read.
So, any incriminating evidence will always be there. Have there been any prosecutions where the dibble have used it in evidence?
Have they/would they ask to see your GPS device when they pull you?

Verdict... makings of an urban legend through fear of the dibble.
I need a sig. indeed with plenty of frickin polish

would they know that you were using one? They can ask but you can legitimately refuse. I know that special dispensation is made in the instance of tachographs though, although you have to have been under caution (right to remain silent etc.) for this to be admissible. Tacho's are slightly different in as much as they have to be calibrated and inspected by the DoT and therefore can be considered accurate enough to be used in court - there is nothing to prove that the app on your phone is giving an accurate reading
