The carbs were playing up again so took it to a small independant garage. He came recommended from a lad at work.
He sorted the problem ........... but I noticed when I got it home that the idle was erratic.
Anyway, Sunday I decided to have a look myself and what I found was unbelievable.
Firstly the fuel line to the tank did not have the spring clip connected.
The breather hose for the air filter housing wasn't connected.
The air filter to carb wasn't connected on the right carb.
The overflow pipes for the carbs weren't connected.
The carbs were only pushed onto the engine stubbs and not screwed tight.
The right hand carb to head fastener was hanging loose around the stub.
The incompetence of this is amazing and I suppose I should report this to trading standards.
