Went for a cheapo priced clutch cable made by TSX. There's loads of them for sale on ebay and the likes. Fitted to bike, did a few pootles covering less than 50 miles and noticed my clutch cable was making a metal against metal scraping noise.

Here's the culprit

Â
The metal cap was so thin the cable had distorted it and was cutting into the cap.
Â
Compared the cable with the old Yamaha one and the difference is huge really. Yammy cable much thicker.

Â
The caps are also much better quality on the yammy cable.
Â
Soooooo, deffo won't be using TSX cables again. New Yamaha cable is £35 plus p&p
I might try a slinky glide cable next, can allus use it for a spare if I'm less than happy with it, and buy another one for spare if I am happy with it. £40 for a simple Yammy clutch cable is a lot.
