Brit boike. Brass thread in an aluminium socket (exhaust). Any suggestions for lube (or not) afore install please?



My plan at mo is just some loc 5990 on flangeeeee

I'd be tempted with a bit of copper grease.

From a galvanic corrosion point of view. It’ll be the aluminium that suffers, but not hugely. I’d go with either copper based or aluminium based anti seize. Either would be fine, so whichever you have to hand will do the job.

Unless submerged galvanic corrosion shouldn't do a great deal.

It's a brit bike, surely it vibrates until all the nuts fall of so you want a bit of corrosion to hold it together?
