Tdm 900 - Wheel Bearing & Seal - Shopping List - dmmsta - 28-05-2017

Every time I need new bearings I have to hunt for the post from Mr Henty, which lists the bearings & seals needed to do front & rear wheels (inc sprocket carrier).

 

So I thought I would put the basket contents in one post and ask if it can be added to the KB for an easier time for all.

 

All bearings are Koyo, as I've never had trouble with these and are consider "high quality", all items (bearings & seals) are sourced from Simply Bearings, based on previous experience and great customer service.  You will find the same parts cheaper elsewhere, but I'm happy to pay that bit extra for the seller quality as well as the part quality.

 

The below came to just under £80 delivered (at time of writing post).

 
Front Wheel

Bearings

Seals

<p style="margin-left:40px;">2x 28x44x7mm Nitrile Rubber Rotary Shaft Oil Seal with Garter Spring R23/TC

 
Rear Wheel

Bearings - Wheel

<p style="margin-left:40px;">2x KOYO 60/28DDU Rubber Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearing 28x52x12mm

Bearing - Sprocket Carrier

<p style="margin-left:40px;">1x KOYO 62062RS Rubber Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearing 30x62x16mm

Seal - Sprocket Carrier

<p style="margin-left:40px;">1x 40x62x8mm Nitrile Rubber Rotary Shaft Oil Seal with Garter Spring R23 / TC

Seal - Wheel (Disc side only)

<p style="margin-left:40px;">1x 35x52x8mm Nitrile Rubber Rotary Shaft Oil Seal with Garter Spring R23 / TC

 

Obviously there is no need for a 2nd wheel seal, as the sprocket carrier covers one side of the wheel.

Well done, just last thing to close the subject. Does both versions of 9er (Non ABS and ABS) used the same bearings?

I used the same place last time, and they didn't list a kit for the Tiger but the price was about the same when I gave them the sizes

Yes - bearings are no specific to ABS/Non-ABS.
