Back On A Yamaha. - RolfieB - 15-06-2017 When I decided it was time for my Blackbird to go, due to needing a more upright riding position. I scoured the usual sites for the replacement. 4 weeks ago this Saturday I had a 4 hr train journey to collect my new steed, followed by a 260 mile run home, most of it in the rain. Was it worth it. Hell yes. I was slightly concerned initially about the weight. But, after pushing one around, & putting onto the centre stand at my local Yamaha dealers, I was surprised at how easy it was. It hides it's weight well due to low centre of gravity. It's comfy, fast(ish), obviously not in the same league as the Blackbird. Suspension's going to need tweaking. Only done 500 at present but I'm sure this will start to rise. Hopefully many years of togetherness. Oh! & it had a massive 9.1k on the clock. No that's not a typo, 9107 to be exact. ![]() ![]() Back On A Yamaha. - alanfavell - 15-06-2017 It's touring time...... Back On A Yamaha. - dmmsta - 15-06-2017 I've always been tempted by an FJR. Â Not sure what it would be like for my commuting as thats pretty much all I do these days.
