Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - muddy - 07-10-2017 H&R porridge slurpers are asking for £175, an increase of £75 for Third Party only. Is this because I turned 60 or are they just trying it on I wonder? Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - dandywarhol - 07-10-2017 I'd the same crap from Carole Gash - went with Bennetts this year. Give them a fictitious quote of 70 quid less and see if they'l buckle Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - drewpy - 07-10-2017 try RH insurance, £87 for 3 bikes but with 3k miles per bike on classic policy Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - James - 07-10-2017 I never just renew unless the renewal quote is very near last years cost (car, bike, house, contents, etc.). Instead, I use the comparison websites, in the order recommended on moneysavingexpert.com, getting quotes a three or four weeks ahead of renewal. Its a tactic thats never failed, so far. Theres no such thing as loyalty in these matters. Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - Apache - 07-10-2017 Quote:H&R porridge slurpers are asking for £175, an increase of £75 for Third Party only. Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - dapleb - 07-10-2017 A goodn ear. http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=6476&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - fixitsan - 07-10-2017 There's a couple of online databases where you can check your postcode area loading for insurance purposes. Perhaps your area has been regraded to a more higher risk zone ?   But looking at it there doesn't seem to be a recent crime wave http://www.ukcrimestats.com/Neighbourhood/Hertfordshire_Constabulary/Abbots_Langley  Best thing to do is shop around and fib about best offers, they know you're fibbing but if we all pretend we're all being honest the system can still work Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - Robodene - 07-10-2017 It's not your age. I'll give them a ring in the week with said fictitious quote. Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - bjorge - 09-10-2017 If they do it in the same way as over here, iyt's obviously so that they increase prices for existing customers while offering "bargains" to new customers. Hunting the cheapest insurance annually saves a lot. Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - ramotdm - 09-10-2017 I insured my 900 fully comp in may, with no, no claims, (using them on another bike) Hastings direct £125 Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - TKH - 09-10-2017 Try comparison sites that should get you a raft of prices and levels of cover. Oh Bliss, Renewal Time - muddy - 09-10-2017 Done the meerkat and Bennett's were cheapest. However, getting an online quote direct from them came in £15 heavier.  Turns out that comparisons are not always accurate. I got a direct online quote from Hastings Direct, and that was cheapest of all, cheaper than the meerkat quote. So Hastings Direct it is. |
