TRX motor will fit fine though so keep looking. I'm considering breaking my silver TDM, but there's a 100,000 miles on it. It runs lovely, and doesn't burn oil, but it's a bit rattly. The mkI will bolt in the same position but would need oil tank. CDI, etc also for mkI. Where are you located? What is wrong with the old engine? So the safest choice is to keep looking for model -96-98 and TRXs engines. £800 + VAT + delivery is a bit high price, but here near the polar circle would cost just the new parts about £1400 plus almoust the same for mechanic ! I'm not that bothered about changing the engine at the moment though, I'm gonna stick with what I have fer now.
