First ride of the year! - jandreas - 14-04-2006 Hi there! For a couple of weeks ago I was moanin about the winter, the snow and the cold weather and doubt if there would be start of the biking season in the Easter. I prayed for rain and wind and fog from England, helping get rid of the winter. And my prayer was heard! Today, in fine, sunny, "warm" weather I did The Years First Ride!....happy days are here again.... So, this evening I washed and polished "the old gal", ready for a hopefully nice ride tomorrow. Jandreas B) First ride of the year! - dandywarhol - 16-04-2006 I took my Bongo, trailer and TDM up to the north east last week - still a fair bit of snow around the Tomintoul area.I met up with a guy I did some work for last year but I hadn't seen for about 15 years - he's got a fairly modded TDM9 too, similar spec to mine but with a 960 TTS kit. We'd a few good runs out on the Thursday and Saturday - not many bikes about, only one knee jerker on a Gixxer to demoralise B) .........don't think he'll be doing much bragging to his mates about being stuffed by a couple of old gits on TeDiuMs - and one was 2 up On the way home yesterday afternoon I caught the sight of one of the trailer's metal mudguards taking off across the A9 towards Inverness - lucky nobody copped it in its wake About 150 metres from home one of the tie straps snapped having been chaffed on the broken mudguard stay and the bike fell onto its side, only scratching the frame paint and scoring the clutch cover.
