well I was going to be leaving you all today as my TDM was supposed to be getting bought by my brother-in-law, but as with my past attempts at selling it, it has been put on hold due to buyers sudden lack of money, so you are all going to be stuck with me for a while longer yet, but if I have still have the TDM at Christmas it will blacked out good 'n' propper, engine, frame, wheels, footrest hangers and all bodywork (attitude and motivation permitting of course)

what's the last thing that goes through a flies mind as it hits you in the face, your face.

I like the look of the new paintwork on the new range of TDM's

Yamaha really do have a problem with their pricing of this bike in the UK, as it is meeting some good competition from other companies now....about time their price dropped..!!!!

TDM, my version of the joke was to capture peoples imagination, and besides it might hit you sideways on !

Pict, don't worry it will definately not be ratted, the black I refer to will be properly applied high gloss and maybe with some graphics, it'll be different but no less unusual !

well to be honest I usually do have intentions of taking photos of things I do, but normally I either forget or can't be bothered.
PS. if you're interested there are a few photos of things that I've made and or painted on the 'CMC' site in 'storms blog of sorts', it just gives a general idea of some of the things I do.

do you have the benefit of a paint booth and such or do you have to 'find a spot' in the garage like the rest of us?

I don't have a propper spray booth but I do have a workshop that is free of unneccessary tools, as I have a seperate custom built shed to keep all my tools in meaning I only have in my workshop the tools that I'm actually using, then put then away again to leave an empty room/workshop which is ok for spraying in, and it enables me to have a dust free area whereas in my last place I had to do my spraying in a garage full of tools and equipment that was impossible to keep dust free, so paint work had to be done very carefully so as not to disturb dust, I haven't used my new set up yet but it should be a more practical space to do paint work in.

As you say..... Bollix. I <b>can't</b> move things from the basement or garage, I guess I wiil have to get the actual spraying done by a paintshop. Shouldn't be difficult, I'm only doing solid colours.

you can do it yourself, just throw some sheets over the other things in the room, even if you have very little space you can do one item at a time.

A mate who used to work in a pro spray shop told me that one of the best ways to reduce the chance of dust affecting the sprayed finish when working in none ideal locations is to keep the floor wet. This keeps the dust down and it also means that any over spray does not stick to the floor.
