Stage 3 Dyno-Jet - viper_biker - 30-11-2006

I was browsing e-bay a while ago and I found someone selling a Stage 3 jet-kit. I already have the needles and jets from the kit but there were 2 solo air filters that go on top of the carbs. Has anyone actually gone down this route as I'm interested in doing it myself and spending some time on the dyno to set it up, but if someone can give me some guidelines that would be great, ie what clip on the needle to use, jet sizes etc. Thanks.

If the engine's unmodified then I reckon you'll have a lot of faffing about viper................and a rough running motor at low speeds - CV carbs need the airbox at low speeds to balance out the firing pulses and shock waves as the valves shut - not a problem having separate filters on a race engine, they don't need to worry about low speed running too much............

OK, cool. Thanks Dandy. I guess my best bet then it just to fit a free-er flowing K+N into the box insted of individual filters then. Thanks again.
