Leaky Carbs... - JMC - 11-02-2026 Seems like this old girl is really looking for an excuse to stay indoors lol Went to start and pump primed and she started p1ssing out petrol, it's coming from the center pipe between the carbs so have started to strip and I'm guessing I'll need the carb rebuild kit so anyone got a link to where I can get a set please. I was hoping a clean might just do but might as well plan for the worst. 2000 4tx and been laid up several times in the 10 years I've owned it due to family commitments etc, and I'd say 1st time the carbs will have been out since new so wish me luck :unsure2: and any tips or tricks you'd like to fire at me I'll take. :good: Leaky Carbs... - dapleb - 12-02-2026 Some good info ear JMC. http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?showtopic=38395&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 Litek do viton seals. Ethanol resistant. NRP also do seals. Think Studley has used them a bit. Could just be a stick boat foal or summat. Leaky Carbs... - JMC - 13-02-2026 Thanks dapleb, I've popped the carbs off the rubbers and cleaned jets and a bit of shite outta the bowls with carb cleaner while they're in place and will get them back on over the weekend with new inlet rubbers I bought a few years ago just hadn't got around to fitting so hopefully it was only that shite was messing things up. Leaky Carbs... - fixitsan - 15-02-2026 Quote:Seems like this old girl is really looking for an excuse to stay indoors lol I've got a set of Viton seals I can look out for.
