I Need An Auto-route Program - geordieguy - 16-07-2010

Up untill a few weeks ago I had Auto-route on the computer.

The Computer had to be rebuilt and a lot of the programs were lost.

One I miss the most is Auto-route.

Does any own know if there are free/ cheap versions out there.

Or what do you use?

Cheers, Ivan

Why not just use google maps, Ivan? It gives you the option to drag the route onto the roads you want and then print maps/directions as required.

There is also a free programme called ITNconv which converts maps to Garmin/Tom Tom etc to programme into a sat nav.

map convertor linky

not even a need for ITNConv. when you have made a route, click on "send" above the map, choose GPS, select the brand (Garmin and Tomtom are both listed) and choose "send"

Google is good.

Ivan,

I have fancier ones, but honestly, I use google maps 98% of the time. Some of the roads I like don't show up, or the route is fubar. I just work around that.
