Whats your opinion of them ? I prefer the look of the actual blue denim type as opposed to cargoes, anyone use em?

Draggin (jeans Not Sexual Orientation!) - Matlock - 30-07-2010

Do they do them in Black Watch tartan?

I wear the Black Draggins all the time, never had an off in em but they certainly are comfy and highly rated for abrasion resistance

I have a pair, never come off in them. Even though I bought them longer in the leg than I normally buy jeans I find they ride up and I get the wind whistling around the top of my boots. Also can't keep the (optional) knee armour in place.

just bought a pair of Richa Kevlar jeans for £50 off ebay - they are proper comfy and a nice fit - not had an off in them.

Draggin (jeans Not Sexual Orientation!) - newstu - 30-07-2010

I've got the loose fitting Zipoffs, I found that armour they came with was rubbish due to the loose fit, so wear motocross knee armour that straps to my leg instead. Tony and Hutch do the same with standard draggin's so I assume it moves around a bit even in the normal ones. To get them long enough when on the bike I bought them a bit too long in the leg for walking aorund in so unstitched a bit of the hem and inserted some elastic which keeps them off the ground when walking.
Very comfortable and I can unzip the legs and go for a paddle rather than startling old ladies on the beach! Never come off in the but they're a heavy duty denim with very thick kevlar weave in the seat and knees so should give a reasonable amount of protection.

A Friend of mine is walkin round today cause he was wearing draggins.
Thats Good enough for me.
They looked like they'd been through a belt sanding M/c, if IIRC they used his jeans as an advert for a while. he was (relatively) OK.

Draggin (jeans Not Sexual Orientation!) - marko67 - 30-07-2010

I wear them all year round, tough & comfy but they do need armour on the hips & knees. I have velcroed bits of an old wet suit ( 10mm neoprene patches ) into mine.

Draggin (jeans Not Sexual Orientation!) - TonyDevil - 31-07-2010

i had a 30mph slide down the road in a pair, didnt wear thru the kevlar but did wear thru the outer layer
as chris says i always have moto-x knee armour underneath as theres no impact protection
apparently theres a fair bit of heat transfer in a highspeed slide and then reckon you need the armor then too

Was wearing my Draggin' Dries when I came off at the Irish G2G last month. Slid about 50-60 yards down the tarmac. The outer (jean) layer wore through but the kevlar did not. I had Knox knee protectors velcroed to the inside and they took a lot of the force of the impact. I highly recommend them. I know some people find the knee protectors don't stay in place but the pair of jeans I have are quite a slim fit and I've not had this problem.

I have Hood Jeans. with Knox armour. I really rate them.

I've a mate that has Draggin's, and said they ride up too much, and the kevlar ends up above the knee.

I've got a pair of these: HORNEE Jeans

There's a vid on their website (HERE) that gives you an idea of how well they hold up...

They are a little short when on the bike, but the Kevlar sits in all the right places...

They're cheaper than Draggin's as well, but don't have the pockets for armour, so bought some knee armour that are like a physio knee support (but with armour attached).

I got a pair of Halverssons from Grand Prix Leg ends near Guiltford. The detailing is a touch fancy but they are comfy. They're a bit hipster in fit, so might not fit everyone's shape but they've been a real blessing when it was hot. And no riding up with wear Mr Humphries.

Whichever you get I'd try them on first, you might save £10 with mail order but if they ain't quite right it's such an Ar$e to send them back and they just end up unworn in a cupboard.

Chris

Me to but I modified some old HG hyprotec armour to fit instead, the Hood jeans are good if a bit on the heavy side.
