Started on the forks which have no damping at all and was amazed when I took the tops off, The rod that adjusts the damping is missing, I think its called the dip rod or diver, I don't think you can buy these any more so the big question is anybody have any of these or know where I can get some New Bike - dapleb - 07-09-2024 Quote:Noice. I don't have any shocks in useable condition but if ewe need oubt else I may have it.I may have some. Also if you are making everything look noice,. I asked Lee to make me a rebuild kit for the adjusters... You know the knarled flat head marshmallow atop the shock. I made a post aboot it somewhere. When the shock come back I will completely strip the front and see what else is missing New Bike - bjorge - 07-09-2024 Quote:Started on the forks which have no damping at all and was amazed when I took the tops off, The rod that adjusts the damping is missing,Couldn' that be as a result of installed aftermarket valve, like the RaceTech Gold valves? I installed them on my Mk1, but can't remember if the adjusters were actually deletd. They sure did on the 9er, but that were the Gold Valve Emulators so maybe different New Bike - robatweston - 07-09-2024 This is a photo from the ad when I got the bike[attachment=o15612] [attachment=o15613] Work in progress, The fork tops are standard, managed to free them off but a bit chewed up[attachment=o15613] New Bike - fixitsan - 08-09-2024 Quote:Couldn' that be as a result of installed aftermarket valve, like the RaceTech Gold valves? The brakes are a bit weak so that's the next job. Found a web site called how many left and it says there are only 35 MK 1 registered in the UK if correct it also says there are only 4 MK 1 taxed and on the road at the moment, do you all think this is correct New Bike - dapleb - 02-11-2024 No i doubt it's correct. I passed one the other day....if it weren't ewe and assuming we are all legal we only have one other person to find. Also not sure how rare mauve is. Seen loads of em. Looks good in that colour. New Bike - leehenty - 02-11-2024 Less than a 1000 niners actually on the road now |
