No idea what they're like with a claim though. I'd imagine not much different from the rest of the parasites that are insurers and bankers. My brother, who's 50 and never had a claim, just got quoted over £300 to insure his small van and others are getting squeezed just the same. They take a hit on their massive profits and simply pass it back to the punter, cos we're a captured market. They compounded the problem by roping the bike on the undamaged side to the back of a car on the transporter that came to pick it up and then made things worse by crashing it again whilst in their custody. Fortunately I had photographic proof of of the condition of the bike immediately after the accident and after a bit of huffing they agreed a satisfactory settlement and I bought the bike back to repair. I've no particular issue with Ebike, like all insurance companies they tried it on but once confronted with hard evidence were happy to negotiate. My point is that you shouldn't have to go through this pathetic game, they treat everyone like they are a fraudster. Ebike Insurance. - erny - 13-12-2010 Ebike were the only one spitting out insurance quotes less than £500 for me. I ended up with fully comp and a £300 excess for a 96 mk2 costing me £350 for the year. An extra £40 odd for breakdown cover. I was grateful. Quotes were coming in at thousands, one or to from the same underwriter, but with upto £800 difference. License is once again clean in May 2012. The trouble is most of the comparison sites don't allow multiple bikes with modifications (Exhaust, Power Commander etc.) and I'm a lazy git. I noticed earlier on in this post Direct Dial were mentioned for multi Bike policies - can anyone recommend any other good (read cheap) one? Lucky for me, I must've just missed it. We're getting squeezed from all sides these days. |
