If you go to the Givi website you can find the original instructions to fit any of the racks for the TDM.

Talking of racks, how's the paint holding out on other peoples RMG stuff.

Mines a bloody mess.

Not got racks- but engine bars + centre stand, both could do with a clean & a paint. Can't complain really as Bike used All Year and engine bar's have been tested a couple of times at least

Was planning to get this done next week as I'm on Holiday and The week on the West coast of Scotland that I've been looking forward to since I booked last October doesn't appear to be Happening

Suppose I should phone / email and cancel

Same with my centre stand - started flaking off pretty soon. Think the reason is the design - no resting plate, instead the angled tube ends lying on the ground

The paint is flaking off like it never really took. I've taken the side racks off as they look so rough and faded. Same with the top box plate but that'll wait till later. Only a little rust.

Maybe a bit of power coating coming up.

:good: Glad you mentioned it Dave, I'm considering buying some pannier racks. Still worth buying and then painting/powdercoating though.

The only real downside to this stuff is the weight. I'm thinking of getting a local fab shop to make the top box plate in alloy. Wonder if RMG could do it all in alloy?

The Givi stuff although lighter is no better with rust and poor coating, and one side of the Givi rail snapped on me which is not unknown when you look into it.

Need Help - Studley Ramrod - 19-05-2020

Not sure how much weight you'd save overall Dave and the price would deffo be higher. Yeah, seen a few broken Givi rails on here, all broken in the same place.

Just priced a some alloy plate. 300mm x 300mm and 6mm thick at £22.00 delivered on Ebay, that's avoiding the Chinese suppliers.

So the idea's still on. Price for the cutting and anodising could kill it off.
