Two days of fixing, mixed outcomes:

Renewed speedometer cable -Â almost
steady needle, a slight vibe at certain speeds (success-)
Â
Renewed clutch cable -Â smoother & easier operation (success+)
Replaced cracked float bowl (Thanks, Studley !), adjusted fuel levels, synchronized -Â seemed nice after test drive, but upon arrival at today's commute it skipped and stuttered on idle....(failure)

Readjusted float valves, synchronized carbs (used old jets from carbs to smoothen gauge fluctuations - worked a treat !).
Now running better than in years :pimp:
I must say, though, that the procedure for measuring fuel level is quite tiresome - esp. when adjustment is a precision guesswork....

Blasted down from Monschau to Vianden in Luxembourg taking the "curvy" option on the Garmin. I have died and gone to heaven!

Replaced a cracked mirror with a complete new one
Replaced footpeg rubbers that were worn
Replaced indicator lense that was cracked
Got tax disc in post and it's now fitted to the bike so she's ready for summer
