>>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dablik - 20-02-2018 That looks a minter, nice buy, although that bike looks well looked after do yourself a favour and check the swingarm linkage and dollop it with grease from the get go, lots of info on the site. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - alanfavell - 20-02-2018 +1 for linkage strip & grease  Make sure spotty berk hasn't over-tightened the chain during PDI checks = 50 to 60mm slack - damage to output shaft/bearing/seal  See here  https://www.manualslib.com/manual/611297/Yamaha-Tdm900.html?page=67 >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - jpor - 20-02-2018 Thanks for the heads up, I'll book a day on the weekend to look over all the popular threads on the topic and make some notes   noted the ones above  There's no Haynes manual for the 900 is there? I've already got that service manual pdf but I do always like a cheap physical manual to walk me through regular maintenance when out in the garage, any solutions for this? >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Studley Ramrod - 21-02-2018 The owners manual will help you with fettlin' the basics but other than printing off the service manual there's no haynes alternative to hand unfortunately. You're welcome to ask any questions in the All About TDM section, usually get a pretty quick response there too. ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dapleb - 21-02-2018 And there's some service guides in the knowledge base but alot of dead photo links again due to bucket of photos .com..... So needs tidying up! >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - jpor - 23-02-2018 Cheers, I'll print the manual off so I have a hard copy. Certainly cheaper than dropping a spanner on my tablet which is no doubt the way that would end!  The TDM arrived yesterday, but I was so busy I didn't get a chance to much more than look at it.  I really like it, and so manoeuvrable at slow speeds - I can't say I was expecting that at all  Off to find some country lanes tomorrow >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - DavG - 23-02-2018 Hi all, My name Dave but 99% of people just call me Dav, I'm in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire (some fantastic roads around here).. Baught my TDM900 Last September and must admit it's surprised the hell out of me considering I had a ZZR1100 before it and have already put nearly 4k miles on it since. I've been reading through some of the post and looking forward to some meet ups in the near future.. :good: [attachment=o10743] >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - drewpy - 23-02-2018 welcome Dav :welcome: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dapleb - 24-02-2018 Ello David and welcome. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - alanfavell - 24-02-2018 Greetings Dav >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dablik - 24-02-2018 Nice bike Dav, welcome :good: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Kelpie - 24-02-2018 Welcome Dave!  :welcome: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Studley Ramrod - 24-02-2018 Welcome to the club Dav. ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Gdog - 24-02-2018 Welcome fella, smart looking bike :good:  :welcome: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - bjorge - 26-02-2018 Howdy ! :badgerrock: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - fixitsan - 26-02-2018 Howdo Dav, nice bike >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - 7inarow - 27-02-2018 Hi to everyone, Iâve been in the shadows for a few mouths and thought it was about time I showed myself. As you can see from my avatar Iâve got a 9 (08) pick it up in Sept last year, have to say the former keeper had looked after it well. It had loads of the normal extras but Iâve added a satnav, USB output, daylights, optimate tail, vario screen, 6 fuse aux box and some panniers. Itâs not my primary transport now Iâve changed jobs, but I do ride 2 or 3 times a week. This replaced a RT1100 (barge) that I used too dispatch on and I must say itâs far more comfortable and manageable than the RT even after a 400 miler, I can at least walk properly. Looking on doing a lot of W/E stuff BSB,WSBK etc might even camp??? Hopefully I can contribute somehow and not become part of the âproblemâ Site looks good and Iâve already used it for information and advice. Cheers Chris >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Kelpie - 27-02-2018 Hi Chris, welcome aboard. :welcome: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dapleb - 27-02-2018 Hello dare and welcome. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - alanfavell - 28-02-2018 Greetings Chris |
