The Mt2011 Germany Meet Up Thread - ladroege - 16-02-2011 <!--quoteo(post=194995:date=Tue 15th Feb 2011, 10:27 AM:name=Geordie Guy)-->QUOTE(Geordie Guy @ Tue 15th Feb 2011, 10:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->There are some places for tents at the Hotel. as per Lars first post<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Confirmed! And if they run out of tent spaces, we can try to include a neighbouring school camp/hostel who have several rooms and a private camp ground. Please try to book the tentspace at the hotel, and if you fail for lack of space, we will look for alternatives. The Mt2011 Germany Meet Up Thread - apw99 - 16-02-2011 Does anyone know roughly how many TDMers will be going to the event in total? If the whole hotel is booked out there must be quite a few...anyone any ideas? thx, APW The Mt2011 Germany Meet Up Thread - ladroege - 17-02-2011 <!--quoteo(post=195234:date=Wed 16th Feb 2011, 11:44 PM:name=apw99)-->QUOTE(apw99 @ Wed 16th Feb 2011, 11:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Does anyone know roughly how many TDMers will be going to the event in total?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Well, experience shows that quite some people may or may not decide to join short-term. I don't know the latest figures, but I would guess something between 150 and 250 participants. The Mt2011 Germany Meet Up Thread - markallinson - 17-02-2011 OK Will do, thanks GeordieGuy! Ok I think I've booked a pitch for 3 people, hard to tell as my German isn't so good..... as in non existent! I did tell her that Clare would be there when she was making her final decision but I think it was the fact that we would have to do one very long day each way to fit in with the ferries that was the clincher. Her limit when we tour is about 250 miles with regular coffee and cake and sightseeing stops and we will have to do rather more than that. Actually, there's not a lot wrong with talking about bikes and guitars all night! The Mt2011 Germany Meet Up Thread - ladroege - 30-03-2011 Hi, <!--quoteo(post=200803:date=Wed 30th Mar 2011, 09:37 AM:name=TeDeum)-->QUOTE(TeDeum @ Wed 30th Mar 2011, 09:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Her limit when we tour is about 250 miles with regular coffee and cake and sightseeing stops and we will have to do rather more than that.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> I don't know if this was an option at all, but what about her skipping the "long run" and for example taking a train to Germany? I just did a quick check with German Rail and if you are "lucky", you could get tickets for 49 or 69 Euro one-way from/to London St. Pancras (special offer for dedicated connections). British Rail may have similar offers... Jm2C, Lars |
