>>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Studley Ramrod - 01-11-2013 :welcome: to da club ! Nice bike ! :good:  Not sure, but ChrisG might know where to download a copy of a Haynes manuel. ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Scout18 - 01-11-2013 Thanks, I bought one off ebay last night but could still use one this weekend. The PO had some charging problems and had the stator and RR replaced and thought he had it cured but he didn't. I'm not impressed with his mechanic at all. It has a brand new battery at least. Is there a list of parts from other Yamahas that are compatible with the TDM?>>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Studley Ramrod - 01-11-2013 Check out the condition of the fusebox. In particular the side where the wires enter it, they can corrode inside and cause charging problems. A faulty/corroded starter solenoid can also cause charging problems. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Scout18 - 02-11-2013 I'll do the simple things like that first for sure I finally have time to dig into it. I have the fairing off and the tank loose. I tested the across the battery with a good meter and at idle it read 11.3 V. I'm going to run the diagnostic chart that I found on the forum next.. does anyone have givi part numbers that I should look for with givi luggage new or used? >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - TDMick - 02-11-2013 Sounds like charging circuit failure. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - vivaldi - 28-11-2013 Quote:Hi folks Hi All again ![]()  Since a 2 months, I have been happy owner of TDM '05 Black Diamond Gold with ABS, LeoVince some Givi equipment and Scottoiler ![]()  So my carbs problems disapeard (thank's to Booster service from Katowice) till October I had been owner o 4TX, so 5PS is my 3rd TDM ![]()  Regards,  Vivaldi >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dablik - 28-11-2013 Welcome Vivaldi, that's the best way to get rid of carb problems...photo's always welcome. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - vivaldi - 29-11-2013 Thank's - no problem with foto, but I don't have permission to create ablbum and upload photos of my nice Black Diamond Gold ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - tdm850rider - 03-12-2013 Quote:Thank's - no problem with foto, but I don't have permission to create ablbum and upload photos of my nice Black Diamond GoldIf you can use photobucket or some image sharing site like that you can put in a link that will show the picture. I've been lurking on this site for a couple of weeks and I think that I'll enjoy being part of the community. cheers, palexxxx  I'll see if I can post here a bigger version of my avatar.  ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Chris - 23-12-2013 Her footwear reminds me of this guy..  ![]() >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - palexxxx - 24-12-2013 Quote:Her footwear reminds me of this guy.. Relax, she hasn't been for a ride on it yet. She just jumped on it for the photo. >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Studley Ramrod - 24-12-2013 :welcome: to da club ! >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - dapleb - 24-12-2013 :welcome:   Quote:Her footwear reminds me of this guy..Any piccy loike that always reminds me of this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcws_iFudHg >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - sidestand - 25-12-2013 Oooh  .........pics like that get the plates in me left ankle aching just looking at them .  I was nearly six months out of action & I was wearing full Daytona boots - mind you, dropping a GSA on me ankle didn't help   All the kit, All of the time for me :good: >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - tdm850rider - 25-12-2013 Welcome to the madhouse. You will love the TDM, only thing it does not do well is turn at very low speeds, it wants to topple (so go fast).  >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - triumph1300 - 19-01-2014 Evening all from Coventry!   I'm currently riding a 1100 BMW, BUT having tried a TDM, am about to put the BM up for sale, and am having a look at a Mk 2 TDM850 this week.  In addition to the bike, I have a couple of Triumph saloons, hence the user name.  For a living, I'm a mechanical/electrical/quality/other engineer, working for Jaguar Landrover.   Hope to see some of you around!    Bruce >>> INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE <<< - Pantboy - 19-01-2014 :welcome: Triumph1300, Ivan will be happy that someone is getting rid of a beemer and replacing it with a TDM instead of the other way round, which bit of Jaguar Landrover do you work for the Jaguar bit or the Landrover bit? |
