Anybody going from the northwest?

Dave

Rtt 09 - Guest - 28-11-2008

I hope to make it from J14 M6 if I can get time off. Looks like the German G2G is going to be too long for me so I may as well do this one. Should know on Monday when I go back to work. I hope to use the tunnel as I dont like ferries.

I'm thinking about it Dave, but I haven't mentioned it to Mrs Matlock, so not definate yet . If I do go I'll be making my own way home and spending a few days at my Dad's place on the west coast, south of Nante. I suspect Ivan & Pete are up for it - what do you say guys?

Rtt 09 - MarkyMark - 29-11-2008

Mrs MarkyMark did the deal on a Deauville today so she could "go touring".

So - thats 2 more added to the list.

my girly wants to join in for the MT and RTT (it would be useful as she speaks fluent german and pretty good french/italian etc)
but i aint havin a pillion plus camping gear for 2 weeks, it really messes up the handling
so guessin it may cost me a DAS course.....and probably another bike
hmmmm maybe i should start lookin for a bigger bike for her....if its sat on her driveway blocking her 125in it may persuade her

Rtt 09 - Guest - 01-12-2008

Well you had best make your mind up afore the new rules come in if they havny already

well i may have just acquired another one but its a bit big for her
she wants a 400-500 to start with
thinkin either bandit 400 or a GS500
both easy to work on and lots of parts available

Rtt 09 - catsbum - 02-12-2008

Give hers yours... 'Slap' you become gay and buy yellow.

I always liked the Honda CB500 - virtually trouble free, runs like a sensible bike up to 9K then goes a bit mental for a 500, handles well, easy to maintain and it's a twin!
