Quote:I'm home safe and sound. Very well behaved bike! I sat on it and did a few figure 8's to get used to the clutch and everything and was surprised at it's stability. It felt natural instantly. I didn't need any assistance, it didn't grumble on the gravel at all. I will be fitting a new screen ASAP though, I nearly pulled my head off doing a lifesaver on the M23! This one does have some low down snatchiness in the 2-3k rev range but I found that if you're careful and don't dump the clutch or throttle it's not an issue at all, so I think it will be something that comes as second nature after a couple of weeks. I think I could hear the air flap kicking in and out so I might try disconnecting/removing it fairly soon.

I even had an emergency stop on the way home..Some dick not looking pulled out without indicators in slow moving traffic on a dual carraigeway driving into Greenwich. It stops as quick as it goes!

I'm very pleased with it. Here we are at a pit stop.

you can tune out the snatchiness to a great extent, air flap mod, set up throttle bodies to max vacuum and balance, co settings. Don't over tighten the chain, it's supposed to have  50-60mm of slack. Pillion is very comfortable compared to a sports bike so the GF will be happy. Watch out she don't headbutt you on braking.

Hi everybody Cool

my name is Daniela and I live in Vienna/Austria. First - sorry for my english...I learned it at school long time ago and had not enough opportunities to make use of it.

I have done my driving license last year and start riding a bike on a Kawasaki ER 5.

One month ago I got a silver TDM 850 4TX, 2000, 30.000km. It belonged to a woman and is lower than normal. Perfect for short-legged people like me  Big Grin

My husband had a blue-black 850 a few years ago and we both loved it.

Now he is riding a black 900 and also very happy.

TDM is the perfect bike - economical, flexible and powerful - not forgetting beautiful!

I hope my silver "Lady" and I will be very good friends and have a lot of fun and adventures.

Nice to be here....hope I will learn a lot about TDM and improve my english.

I´m glad to meet you here!...and maybe one day on the road?

greetings from good old Vienna

Dani

Hi, my names Bikemike and I'm an alc-   Oops, wrong forum  Wink

I thought I had better introduce myself properly, as opposed to bothering people about swingarms....

As some of you may recall, I am the proud owner of Jollgiants Mk1. While it was excellent when I got it I will be making a few minor mods, which I will detail when I have something worth showing.

I'm based near Southampton on the South coast and work as an AA patrol (so if you need breakdown cover let me know!)

Cheers,

Mike
