Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - poldark - 14-07-2009 QUOTE(Hartside Man @ Tue 14th Jul 2009, 12:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Why was the lorry wheel on that tiny block of wood ?? We did debate this, waiting for the water to boil. Our thoughts were it was either to keep the cab level to aid sleep or some sort of security device to notify being unhitched or towed. Any other ideas?

He parked on the wood to mess with the minds of the bikers making tea outside. Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - chrislarkin - 14-07-2009 Back home last night at 7.55pm. 3056km, less than 1 litre of oil. It rained as the boat entered Rosslare harbour and again as we drove into our yard! Brilliant time had. Thanks to all for being there and contributing so much. Thanks to Guinness and Edith for being Earth Father and Mother. Nobody has yet mentioned the Wicked Witch. Has she put a spell on keyboards? The other cake owners in Markymark's posting above were us. Many memorable cakes the best for me being a chocolate tart outside some chateau on the way north. When we have re-configured the house (after leaving it in the hands of number 2 son and girlfriend for the duration) we should be able to find a pic of it for dedicated cakists. Determined to buy a satnav now but one without the agricultural option that ChrisG's has permanently 'on'! Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - ChrisG - 14-07-2009 That's everyone home safe and sound now then apart from Dandy on his 5 week Eurotour Don't get whichever satnav Dandy's got, he took us down roads that didn't even show up on my satnag! Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - dapleb - 14-07-2009 QUOTE(ChrisG @ Tue 14th Jul 2009, 01:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Don't get whichever satnav Dandy's got, he took us down roads that didn't even show up on my satnag! Maybe he still has wee "Gertie". He doesn't actually get any further in 5weeks its just thats how long Gertie takes to find the way. Having said that she took us up a forest trail that turned out to be an adventure of a life time! Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - Guest - 14-07-2009 Had a great time with the bike running like a dream. Great memories including drinking and telling yarns till silly o'clock with Chris, Tony and G. Big Dave trying to get me into a double bed and hanging onto a TDM at silly angles around great European roads.. will def have to go again and the sooner the better. Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - ChrisG - 14-07-2009 Loving the look of the Ebro valley. Having seen those and some of Tony's photo's I think I'm going to have to head for Spain at some point next year. Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - TonyDevil - 14-07-2009 the roads in spain (southern pyranees) are twisty heaven, with tarmac much better quality than France! Have to say my limited cornering ability was not enhanced by the continuous Chaussee Deformee and Gravellions signs, though I'd had enough practise by the end of the week that I'd certainly improved. Much was down to my suspension fairy-godmother (Dandy) sprinkling his magic dust about though, so I think he deserves a pictural reward. Greetings From La Vieille Eglise - Matlock - 14-07-2009 Campervan porn!
