The Yamaha MT-07 parallel twin engine with 270 deg. crank feels just like a TDM 900 engine to me.

The BMW 900XR is basically an updated TDM
But if you're getting an XR, then got for a second hand first generation S1000XR .........awesome bike :good:

Here's my latest ....Big old V twin ...back to 2003 - but Ohlins Suspenders, Mille cams & hot chips & maps .......it's a proper hoot to ride  & about the same price as a similar age NinerÂ

Iâm the same, my 9er and my Buell are both favourites. No doubt the TDM is the more practical proposition for two wheeled travel but the Buell stirs the soul. As a mate of mine says (Ducati owner) - the difference is buying one bike with your head and the other with your heart.Â
