Well i recall from Bigred ( not so senile after all ) for some reason, there was always a hose down that side, the other thing is the sidestand cut-out cable runs up through there as well, so long as it all goes somewhere eh, i reckon your correct, no room to route it the other side and it makes more sense for it to be on the right, will have a gander through the Haynes..

Sorry fella, forgot about this, there's one been posted somwhere on here, did'nt need one though, guess your sorted now.

Looks like me sump leak is back again albeit a tiny amount while the bike is static, i think it's actually coming from the centre front bolt, same place as before so, now i'm thinking maybe i need to helicoil the bugger, or the sump is banana !! but it can wait until i'm ready to change oil over now, just have to keep an eye on me level, can i buy a litre of running in oil i wonder..

Weather this week and the Royal Snail is holding me up once again, took a month for me Venhill lines to get here Rolleyes waiting on reg/rec connectors, overdue and other small bits....

These are for the reg/rec Wicki, i replaced it with a mosfet type which requires Furuwaka connectors , wired straight from the battery.

I know, it's becoming quite silly now innit, no one furloughed at RM far as i know, they work 24/7 so that equates to a 3 month delivery in my eyes, that they initially where overwhelmed is understandable but get ya bleedin arses back in gear now and you lot stop ordering online will ya Smile

850 Destruction - Studley Ramrod - 23-06-2020

Got my tool tube from China in 9 days.  Lol  Tbh I've not really noticed a delay in RM deliveries, just later in the day than usual.

Update long overdue eh....

Well works a pain in the arse, sunny when i'm working and then pisses down for the most part when i'm off, neighbours had all the fences out to be replaced, rock faces and paving slabs getting lifted and cut, sand and cement getting mixed, wood being cut and a new roof getting put up behind us, so along with the ever present wind we have here i aint been up to much at all, plus me stamina has gone on holiday since Covid... so that's the excuses all out the way...

Gave Gerty a blert up and down the road a couple of times to make sure she worked, needed a bit of choke which is making her a bit to rich but then i'll adjustments to make anyhoo but did 1 mile  Lol  and seems okay.

Got around to dropping the sump on Friday to seal it again without all the above shenanigans going on, this time i've sealed it with Loctite 5990 sans gasket and left it to go off, refilled with oil today and kicked her over briefly, so far so good, fingers crossed..

I had hoped to have her all ready by the end of the day for an mot on Friday but noticed today that the handle bars stays are a bit loose for some reason so will have to check that out after work, yep that's Friday and then the weathers shit next week when i'm off so fook knows !? but the long slog, boy has it been a long long long slog, is very near completion.....yes nearly, belly pan to go on when i'm sure it aint leaking from the sump anymore and the oiler needs setting up.

So for your perusal and enjoyment the following..

Looking good Dabs! We all know the Mk2a is by far the superior model of the whole lot but I still recon the Mk1 is the better looking bike, sometimes you just have to comprimise between looks and piss poor engineering....... Tongue

Cheers Ken, i'll be grabbing some in a nicer setting...

850 Destruction - Studley Ramrod - 27-07-2020

I notice you've routed yer front brake lines behind the forks, whereas mine go around the front.  Do the lines on yours rub against the rad or is there plenty of space ?  Only asking as I'm thinking of re-routing mine.
