Quote:The  Daytona race boots the MotoGP stars wear are the 2 piece inner hard shell/outer kangaroo skin jobs .......

The Goretex Daytona Touring boots are much cheaper - at between £200 - £350 a pair depending on spec.

I've had a pair of Daytona Roadstar GTX Goretex boots I use for touring  for almost 10 years now - never let water in & still got another ten years in 'em I reckon.

So, at around £250 when I got 'em - I reckon they're better value than some of the cheaper boots I've bought
Same here...bought my Roadstars at the NEC about 6 years ago for around £300. Size 13 was just about right and I have WIDE feet as well, and these are a comfy fit. The have never leaked, still look like new (except the sole) and I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Value for money with all the benefits of quality protection.

Having said that, the boots I had before were TCX's and they were wonderful untill they split at 4years old. If the initial budget is tighter than the Daytonas, TCX is a good option.
