Yep, sounds like a good idea Dave, Ivan (Geordie Guy) & I went last summer - it's a popular place. There's some top roads around there too. I can't make next Wednesday, but I'm free on the 16th.

I'd just noticed that myself Ivan. The only fly in the ointment is that I need to get my new back tyre fitted and Thursday is the only day I'm around to get it sorted. So my Wednesday night will be spent removing the back wheel. Unless I put it off another week .......

This will be the first time it's been out under my stewardship, so I'm allowing time for dealing with those seized chain adjuster nuts. But I can't say no to a weather forecast this good. What's the plan? Shall we meet up at Parbold Hill & have a nice ride to Melling?

its all of 3.8 miles between Hen and Chickens and the Scotch piper. !!!

I can get to the H&C for 6 - 6.30, Lets meet up and decide a route.
Go for a little run , via scotch Piper, got to do Parbold just becuase of the veiw and then run back down to the H & C. via Melling.
No more than an Hour.
