HDuty clutch springs
=  Way too much for my wrist - going 3 STD & 3 HD before maybe going back to 6 STD

I had to do that, 6 HD were fine, but not all day long. Thankfully there are 6 of them, and not an odd number, so it's easy to change them about and keep them in weight balance

went for a ride to the Delph in chorley.

It was their first bike night and good to see a few there

Bike was a dream and ran faultlessly after the rebuild

May be sticking pistons?

In an effort to unload my wrists I've reverted to STD brake & clutch levers before I go to swapping clutch springs. Fancy aftermarket levers now spares under the seat. Testing soon.

Hmmm, methinks a mk1 might be your answer to curing the limp wristed problem Favs.

Well done Drewps. :good:

Just waiting for TDM parts to arrive in the post before I use the Lee Henty brake nipple torture device.  Ordered new nips and a new ignition switch. Waiting

Got the rear brake a bit too hot on HardKnott pass and the organic pads are going crumbly.

Managed to source a set of Goldfren carbon ceramic pads from a local bike shop to do a running repair Roads are flooded in places so I been doing a bit of fording.

Lee, I was thinking of you when I saw the weather forecast earlier, photos of flooding in Cumbria !

Not the best holiday I have had, but handling challenging conditions is good practice.

Fitted a bunch of tools and other stuff under the seat.  My emergency kit is stowed.  First aid kit under the back givi plate.  And a USB charger running off the brake light wires so that phones, iPads and torches can all get some juice along the road.

And I bled the brakes: fluid is now spotless and new.

One of our local motorcycle mechanics and racers, still races with standard levers, and when I last went to East Fortune to watch some racing I noticed a lot of guys still used them. The thinking being that if there was any racing benefit to fitting short levers then they all would have them. It's all just about personal taste, many folk manage perfectly fine with standard ones

Behold! I've washed it, well and truly needed it was, too. Scottoiler is on the eager side, so rear rim was covered with goo.

Also did a 40 km round trip with my favourite pillion (12) to help some lady friends with a squealing pool pump. As suspected, shot bearing pump side, luckily standard size, so no problem to sort. They even let me keep the couple of small bearing pullers we had to buy.

went to Youles in Blackburn with a mate to pick up his tracer 900GT (very nice)

then headed to carousel at Southport for a brew and portion of chips, so humid and was busy.

Nice afternoon out and no oil usage as yet

Just had an MOT 👍👍

Passed with flying colours.. no advisorys 👍👍

This morning - HD clutch springs are now reduced to 3 of 6 (prefer 7 of 9 - do de do)

Std levers are easier, but not easy enough for a full set of HD springs.

Wait n see time.........
