East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - ChrisG - 06-04-2008

Crash bung on the front fork doesn't seem to have done much but it looks like the side one took a fair bit of the damage.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE<!--quotec-->Tank has a couple of minor dinks, not gonna worry unless a decent one turns up at silly money<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
How "silly" ? See PM

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - stormy - 06-04-2008

I'll have a rummage through my big box of TRX bits, I may have a front wheel, but I need to check first.

Also have a look for anything else you need.

Mike

Stormy's got one of those really big TDM's Again!! Sorry

And as for TRiXy that should T Cut Out with a bit of elbow grease

As for you Hutch just think in years to come the bragging rights will get better and better and before long it would have happend over 3 counties Best way to crash is on a hire bike not somebody else's

Also give it a couple of day's and you have the perfect chat up line..... "Do you want to see my brusies" I used it once after I binned it at 110mph and now I have 2 kids and married her

Went to the hospital today to get checked over and nothing broken, just a bruised and sore body (and ego!), can't move my neck great deal, left leg, right arm, stomach, shoulders and wrists all hurt - apart from that, I'm all good!

Thanks for all your comments everyone, and the offer of the stabilizers CatsBum, I migh take you up on that, lol! I went out clubbing in town last night and tried to use the line "I'm lucky to be here tonight cos' I had a horrible near-death bike crash earlier, and I could do with someone to make me feel better" to all the girls - didn't bloody work at all still, had a good night though - from what I remember.

However, I have accomplished a lot in one day, had and really enjoyed my first bike meet, met loads of great people and had my first off - quite funny how I crashed in Suffolk and ended up in Essex

This isn't going to stop me, gonna get staight back on the saddle as soon as my TDM is ready or Trixie is back together (if Tony will ever trust me with her again!!!). After my fun ride on Trixie yesterday, i has only confirmed that I want one

Looking very much forward to the next meets and Ireland.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Great to hear your spirits weren't dampened after all that happened

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - zardoz - 06-04-2008

That Blue/white TRX is only gorgeous.

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - stuartsharp - 06-04-2008

Looks like you all had a great time and I'm glad that nobody was seriously hurt, despite the off.

Just wanted to ask if any of you guys take a pillion to the meets? I noticed a distinct lack of a female presence on the photos, except for the one lady who appeared to be riding her own bike like the rest of you. Reason I ask is because I'm potentially interested in the Lincolnshire meet idea, but Mrs S loves her riding and would be most put out if I were to disappear with the bike for half the weekend without taking her! I'm not saying we wouldn't be welcome, but I'm sure you can understand that we wouldn't really be comfortable being the only couple (and possibly the only 2-up bike) present.

So how about a 2-up meet? Or are you all closet 900 riders?

pillions are welcome although none of the 2ups this time were actually couples
sidestand has sidekick(look for the one shorter than stormy ) and i had Mel on the back this time(look for the urban camo outfit in the first photo i posted)

Not at all dampened, so much so, that I've been looking at buying a TRX to go with my TDM today

As long as they are female, have a nice bum and wear leather I didn't just type that did I cos it was a just a thought

Well my bike dosnt have pillion rest rests for a reason....... I only take pillions with no legs Nar not really my wiffy dosnt do bikes and my pipes don't allow them either...

Also don't take pillions since I had a crash with one on and have felt guilty ever since.

So I won't be allowed on that G2G

Reminds me of the bloke who lived at the top of a high-rise apartment block and used to wheelie his trail bike into the lift/elevator so he could keep it safe at his door....

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - Guest - 07-04-2008

My other half was gutted she didn't come with me. She'll be on her own bike for the next one I'd bet. Sorry it's a suzuki GSR.

As long as it's not out of the county cos thats where your prob is.... Border crossings and bricks of course

And Don't get anywhere close to his Scooby

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - TonyDevil - 07-04-2008

the S10 would prolly have just riden straight over the brick with nothing but a minor bump
also with the space frame (riky cross crash bars) dropping it aint much of an issue
last time i threw it down the road all it did was polish the paint work on the crash bars

East Anglian Meet - 5th April 2008 - ChrisG - 07-04-2008

You've got to worry when anyone uses the phrase "<i>last time</i> I threw it down the road"
