Haha must have Pete, i reckon you've been sending vibes from the Wirral. Don't mention wirral Cliff...everyone knows where it is now, thanks to Corona!! 850 Destruction - Rallyist - 03-02-2020 Quote:Don't mention wirral Cliff...everyone knows where it is now, thanks to Corona!! Came in bottles in different flavours delivered to your door ![]() 850 Destruction - dapleb - 03-02-2020 Looks like my work van! 850 Destruction - dablik - 03-02-2020 No matter Graham, it's only the wannabe's wot live on the Wirral or "plastic scousers" ![]()  I remember the Pop van coming along our street, lemonade and ice cream mixed together..yum. 850 Destruction - peter-may - 03-02-2020 Horse and cart Saturday mornings where I grew up (well, got older), at the risk of going off topic!! Looks like progress Cliff, keep that momentum going and we'll get out this year... 850 Destruction - dablik - 04-02-2020 Yup one can hope Pete it'll get done..850 Destruction - leehenty - 04-02-2020 Apply yerself Cliff, spring is coming, no time to hang about. 850 Destruction - dablik - 14-02-2020 Calipers sorted now, dunno why the pots tend to hang up on the spot brakes as the seal grooves were really clean with no corrosion at all and the seals where in fine fettle bar one dust seal which i've replaced...... maybe should bin the dust seals and clean the brakes a bit more often. I know Chris, will bleed them on the bench and Santa bought me a pumpy thing, so fingers crossed. 850 Destruction - Snowbird - 15-02-2020 I would imagine a pela type oil sucker on the bleed nipple would make life very easy when bleeding, just top up the MC as it drops and shut off bleed nipple when clean fuid comes through the pipe, with a washer pipe tee you could do both sides at the same time, it's what I use to bleed the diesel system on my boat at filter changes (old school diesels) and saves loads of pumping on the lift pump primer, it's actually a brake bleed nipple I used on the bleed screw in place of a plain bolt ( I used one of the self sealing ones). I found out how much effort was saved when my tanks were rusting and had to change 6 pairs of filters in one weeks trip, fitted new tanks after that run. 850 Destruction - dablik - 15-02-2020 Tried a Pela type in the past Dave which helped somewhat but had to give it back, now have summit different.. i will however bleed the whole lot on the bench before i attach them, that way i can raise the calipers and turn them upside down, i'm convinced the fluid path between each side of the caliper is the issue, having said that i've found reverse bleeding followed by a regular bleed gets the job done usually... 850 Destruction - chrisr - 15-02-2020 You sure the pumpy thing is bike related? 850 Destruction - leehenty - 15-02-2020 brake vacuum bleeder on nipple works ok as long as the bleed nipple threads are fairly tight. 850 Destruction - dablik - 15-02-2020 I'll put some ptfe around them which will help.. 850 Destruction - leehenty - 16-02-2020 Good luck weather isn't the best for working on bikes. 850 Destruction - dablik - 16-02-2020 Quote:Good luck weather isn't the best for working on bikes. Dead right Lee, it's very grim but, this is all just prep work at the mo ready for the weather turning....wont be rushing though.. 850 Destruction - bjorge - 17-02-2020 Lacking a vacuum bleeder, I've sucked it through....only remember to have lots of strong tasting beverage to take away the strong taste ![]() 850 Destruction - dablik - 17-02-2020 Yuk yuk... have a vaccum bleeder now Bjorge, pressie from Santa.. 850 Destruction - drewpy - 17-02-2020 i just use a large syringe |
