What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - chrisr - 28-05-2020 Busted! Oh, sorry...... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - drewpy - 28-05-2020 Quote:Replaced my rear disc and pads, bled and replacedon my metmachex, i put the axle nut on the other side same as the original. Any advantage the other way? What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - alanfavell - 28-05-2020 Filled up - spent 6 hrs in the saddle - covered 248 miles on some very minor roads. Only 1 gay ted road. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 29-05-2020 Prolly because the 3VD has a castellated nut and the 4TX has a nylock type nut. I'm assuming that if the axle siezed on the wheel, the nut can't spin itself off. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - butcher650 - 29-05-2020 Its always been like that Drewpy, I've not changed it! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 29-05-2020 Is there a hole in the end of your axle for a split pin to go in Butch ? If there is then ya need a castellated nut, if not then prolly better to fit the axle the other way around. Quote:Filled up - spent 6 hrs in the saddle - covered 248 miles on some very Straining at the leash eh. Certainly a nice day for sweating it out on those twisty, stoney roads. ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - butcher650 - 29-05-2020 Theres a groove in the axle on left side just before the end, but no hole in the nut side on the right. Without the axle fully home on the left, it wouldnt pertrude enough to get the nut proper done up like. I did it up to FT then torqued it to 105nm as per heinz. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 29-05-2020 Groovy ! Not sure what you mean really, does the axle head slot into a groove ?  Anyhoos sounds like there's not much you can do to change it. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - butcher650 - 29-05-2020 Nope, there is a small groove in the axle just in front of the axle head. Tbf, I've just put it back in as it came out! With grease of course. I reckon that's 6 hrs of entertainment for £14ish :good: What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 29-05-2020 Cheaper than Romania. ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - wicklamulla - 29-05-2020 Quote:Its always been like that Drewpy, I've not changed it  do ya know if Metmachex utilised the existing TDM axle? If they did there may be a hole in the end to accept a P clip or split pin. I decided to retrofit a 3VD axle, castellated nut and P clip to my 4TX simply because it makes setting up the Scottoiler bracket that is slid onto the axle easier and it makes the boike go faster. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - butcher650 - 29-05-2020 Quote: Not a clue wicky, it already had the metmachex when I got it too! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - leehenty - 29-05-2020 Took it for its annual tyre kicking session What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - drewpy - 29-05-2020 Quote:Theres a groove in the axle on left side just before the end, but no hole in the nut side on the right.
