I'll put in a pic later.

What make are those panniers dave? I was looking for something like that from metal-mule, but they had no rack for a tdm.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Go seek out Hepco & Becker, my child. Their racks are available for 850's and 900's and all take their Aluminium cases as standard.

Yep - I am now completely paranoid!

Look here instead.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Oooh nice! Nicey I likey. Heard one go past the other day and the motor sounded like a biscuit tin of bolts being thrown down the stairs.

It would be even wider if the right-hand box was as wide as the left-hand box...
Mebbe thats clever designing to help it stay on the kickstand?

nah Tom i tink its acos the silencer exits on that side and takes up some space, and to have a larger RHS pannier would cause it to stick waaaaaaaaaaay out.

Yep, that's the reason. You can put a big one both sides but then the MOT would require a 'wide load' sticker or, at least, a 'fairly wide load' sticker. [Image: rotflmmfao.gif]

[Image: biggrin.gif] [Image: biggrin.gif] [Image: biggrin.gif] Yeah it's not exactly stealthy. Has some advantages in traffic, it kinda paralyses drivers and while they're thinking 'what the f***'s THAT?' you nip through the gap...

I try to avoid using them as much as poss - pain for filtering!!!

I wonder how widths compare, against TDM's with other manufacturers panniers, the KTM and my Yamaha jobbies? Anyone care to get their tape measures out?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
if u use ur bike day 2 day with panniers try using only top box & rhs pannier.thats what i used 2 do when despatching

Didn't notice that silencer there... The right side box would be perfect for keeping your lunch and coffee warm.

Note to self - do NOT put camera or laptop or KAIPOD in right pan ear...
