Traffic that way can be a bloody nightmare, especially on a Friday. I'd go for the scenic A65 it'll probably be the fastest and nicest route. What say the guys from up that way?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> the route you suggest bondy is by far the best pick up the a65 as soon as you can near to leeds and follow it all the way through skipton / settle / kirkby lonsdale (visit devils bridge for a cuppa and a butty at the jcn of a65 and a693 ) then carry on to kendal / windemere turning right over kirkstone and landing at the campsite. great route and if you are running early you can drop down into windemere and go see the boats |
