Point taken re panniers, but if you wish to strap luggage to the seat, carry a pillion, or fit a rear rack (luggage for the carrying of) problems usually emerge. I'm just a practical old function before form type of guy, guess that's why I ride a TDM, but all underseat exhaust equipped bikes seem to have an ugly plumbers nightmare of pipes leading to the mufflers, as with the Morini. Fit 'em all under the bike like with the Buell and ER6 I say.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I love the Buell exhausts, but for a bike that has true all-road ambitions that is not an option, you couldn't even cross a river that has more than 10cm of water in it...

Well, you know, it's that whole off-road / rallye / ground clearance thing [Image: rolleyes.gif]
But I guess you'd need different wheel-sizes with even more different tyres to get anywhere in the unpaved world... like the A38 for example [Image: laugh.gif]

Otherwise, yes, I also feel these usually rather heavy bits of metal should be mounted low near the center of gravity, as on Buells for example (where they happily grind to rust, like on my Cyclone [Image: huh.gif] ). But being an old git I really like the double exhausts on the TDM, just like real bikes in the old days [Image: banana.gif]

Nice looking bike but I'll stick with me 1200GS and if eventually I did not get on with the GS I would go back to the TDM900 hopefully when they give it an other 100 cc shaft or belt drive and take a backward step and put a TDM850 seat on just to coset me bum.
