The only notifications I have checked is mail from admin/carpe. Everything else i just look on the site.

Me too usually. But peeps, at some point, will want to have email notifications on stuff, for example, if they're selling things. We got a good few problems with email notifications not working when peeps were selling things, so it'd be good to get it working.
