Well today I put the spark plug back in - nowt only firing on one cylinder
So plug out new plug in changed plug cap back to original etc- cos I had been struggling to get cap on then off then I managed to pull the Lead out of the cap
End result It's Alive ! Running fine - quick trip for Fuel all Ok
Question
What's everyone else using to get that R / hand plug in / out on a mk 2. ?
What am I missing I'm using a 17 mm ratchet spanner on the top of the plug spanner but it's a very Slow process
So what's the quickest way ?

I've always managed with the toolkit plug wrench and a spanner on top. After the first turn the plug is loose enough to be undone by finger power

Sadly think my hands are just a bit big for that
Manage to get hand in but struggling to get movement with
fingers , Fan gets in the way ( I'm Left-handed ) tried with
my right but that's no use either !
Keep telling the missus that her hands are just the right size for
Cleaning / Working on my Bike - but nope never offers to help

I think I release the radiator from it's mounts. Leave the pipes attached but it goes forwards an inch or two to give more room. Or you might get it with the fuel tank off too.

I have seen people use a hose that fits snugly on the porcelain. It lets you spin the sparkplug and then you can pull off the hose to tighten. It also has the advantage of being flexible.
Got the bike back together after chasing my electrical gremlin that wasn't. I had the bike all apart before determining it was just the battery. But since I had it apart, I replaced my leaky valve cover and flushed the coolant. Getting the coolant pipe back in the head was a royal pain in the ass. I buggered it up the first time and then had to clean up the opening and reshape the pipe a bit.Â

Everything is back together and nothing appears to be leaking. I'll give it a good ride this week and verify everything is good to go.Â

Switched off parking lights....after custodian knocked my door in the evening wondering why I left lights 'on'Â
Second time I did this, but this time it didn't cost me a new battery :istupid:

Kicked off with a wash, wax and new front tyre, then a set of sprockets and shiny new chain. Stop for Lunch and then a new set of clutch plates and springs (Super easy job). All set for the summer :-)Â

Cleaned out the headlight connector and high beam switch housing with WD40 to get my headlight back working. Went out on me on Thursday night as i drove home, felt a tad bit vulnerable to say the least!
Went ahead and gave her a bath, then cleaned and lubed the chain for good measure. Felt a bit slack so gonna adjust it to.
Strongly considering fitting the small spots i got for it in case the headlight goes out again.

I thought about mounting some of those in the same position. Seems like a good idea. I found the bracket which comes with them is prone to rusting so need a regular wipe with some ACF50 or similar.

Looking at the pics I think you might want to investigate your front right caliper. Clean/lube the pistons maybe, as the rust on the disk is showing that it isn't really doing much for you
