What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 26-07-2018 Fitted a Michelin Pilot Power to the front and took it for a spin.....feels great ! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - steve27bha - 27-07-2018 Quote: I once got intrigued by a bike I saw abroad and checked out the importing rules, just for my own info. like. I got thoroughly bogged down in procedures and documentation requirements. I concluded it was not worthwhile unless either as a business or for a very special bike. That was just from official government / DVLA etc websites. So I suggest you get Googling and read up. It's far from impossible - I once had an ex-France VFR750 that had been personally imported and came with a load of documentation. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Apache - 27-07-2018 GP mot'd the rider. Grateful to say passed with no advisories. I was also given lifestyle advice by a lass that'd make your rear shock bottom out..hey ho

Sounds like it could be a minefield , especially for a first timer I'm sure One of my previous bike's was a grey import but that had been registered for year's I'm Dubious about buying an unregistered import coz let's face it if it was straightforward you would register it yourself and increase the price Accordingly = easier sale ? What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - madmopedracer - 28-07-2018 to register you need the ORIGINAL registration documents for the bike they must be ORIGINAL not copies (ask how i know hence breaking a 3vd) along with a mot certificate done on foreign reg and a cheque for the fees and road tax also another form cant remember what it was called but it was fairly straight forward there is good info on dvla website What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 28-07-2018 Quote:I'll look into it when things here quieten down a bit....but then someone just listed this ....mmmmmmmmm.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-MT03-Custom-Bike-Needs-some-work-Still-rides-good/323367594770 ..."won't ship to Norway".....shoite, too bad..... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 28-07-2018 Quote:..."won't ship to Norway".....shoite, too bad..... It won't be mine either. I just bought an MT-03 with a curious unusual engine noise (and Akrapovic cans) , as a bargain. Private reg plate MT03 YAM ...worth £750 apparently ! Just trying to organise a courier. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Kelpie - 28-07-2018 Rode it, lots. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Graks - 29-07-2018 Installed Laser slipons, got them used. Is there different db killers available for these? What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 29-07-2018 Quote:Installed Laser slipons, got them used. Is there different db killers available for these? Probably, look on ebay for db killer, you just need to know the internal diameter of the pipe flange What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 29-07-2018 Meet prototype #1 of a novel fuel efficiency indicator https://flic.kr/p/28ewEHP The white bit on top is a full colour LED, which displays efficiency in terms of colour. Beginning with low fuel consumption at idle, fuel flow is low (injector pulse width small due to closed throttle, and low rpm) so the led displays Blue (That nice efficient blue ). Then as the fuel flow rate increases, the colour changes smoothly through shades of blue to cyan to green, then on to orange and red for the highest fuel flow (throttle pinned at max rpm) It automatically sets it's own range of operation so can be moved from a single cylinder engine to a multiple cylinder one, which includes diesel multijet (several pulsed fuel squirts per induction stroke). The connections to the bike are a switched 12V supply, ground, and the sensing wire connects to the switched side of one of the injectors. The reason I made it is to be nosy ! Sometimes it is more efficient to run at higher rpm with smaller throttle settings than at low rpm with a wider throttle opening....so I just wanted to get a better idea of what's going on, to find where the most efficient gear change points are Maybe I've got used to watching the car fuel efficiency/ consumption gauge and miss it when I'm on the bike....I hope I haven't got that bad ! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - curlylegend - 29-07-2018 Quote:Meet prototype #1 of a novel fuel efficiency indicator I like that ! If the electronics are there, use them ! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 30-07-2018 Checked 9er valve clearances - spot on! I've never seen cleanter engine internals - could eat off the valve cover ![]() De-rusted coolant pipe & sprayed with Hammerite before reassembly. Installed new battery, the old one would probably survived if I weren't too optimistic about state during winter... Bike started immediately in March, last coupla months killed it. Washed it, polished scratches & headlight glass - looks brand new :pimp: Put it out for sale on web.... orry: [attachment=o11276] ....but found an old '02 for sale that need some TLC and priced due to this....maybe take a look at it today ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 30-07-2018 Sidestand has a yellow 9'er for sale Bjorge, also needing a bit of tlc. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 30-07-2018 Quote:Sidestand has a yellow 9'er for sale Bjorge, also needing a bit of tlc. Are you kidding me ? :pimp: That would be a good idea.... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 30-07-2018 Not kidding Bjorge, it's a low mileage yellow wan with yellow bellypan and other yellow bits. It's got Ohlins suspension too. Mick owned it years ago and then sold it on. Then he bought it back from the person he sold it to, unfortunately the person didn't look after it as much as Mick had and it got a bit tatty, mainly the front of the engine where the weather has got to it. Give him a ring if you're interested. :good:What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 05-08-2018 had a good 150 miles down into the Scottish Borders .... I don't believe I would benefit from having another bike ! What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Andy25 - 06-08-2018 Quote:had a good 150 miles down into the Scottish Borders ....
