What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 16-04-2018 Quote:Its a non working choke (seized cable). Is it in the wrong place since was fitted like that when i bought the bike? Okay, it may also seize in original position ![]()  Quote:Yes. By "proper" I assume you don't mean "well designed" ?  It really doesn't matter that much, as choke is only for cold starts, but personally I don't fancy the location of the choke. Always envied those with a pretty little handle on left side of bar... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - alanfavell - 16-04-2018 Ridden it to Hampshire - 23 litres / 296 miles. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - dablik - 16-04-2018 Wots up Favs, ya must be slowing down matey ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Rallyist - 16-04-2018 Well it is downhill so use more going back What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Grendel - 16-04-2018 Quote: To be honest think it could be seized slightly open since MPG isn't great. Can it be removed? What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - dablik - 16-04-2018 Well you can remove it but really you need to fix it, bike should start however briefly from cold with choke. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 17-04-2018 Quote: Yes, but the problem is more likely to be the choke mechanism at the carbs, rather than the cable itself. If it's stuck a tad bit "on", it will start too easily in cold weather and run rich after a short warmup. Also, choke plungers are notorius for being eaten, causing rich fuel mixture. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - fixitsan - 21-04-2018 MOT passed cleanly today at 102000 miles. Only 5000 miles on this bike in a year. I guess I need to ride it more
What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - alanfavell - 21-04-2018 Had a bimble about to test SJCAM mount and managed to run 15 litres off. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - drewpy - 21-04-2018 changed motobat battery for a yuasa one (more than 70cca than motobat) did it in 15 mins on a mk2 850 What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Latestarter - 21-04-2018 Went out with a few mates this evening, lovely ride out over 100 miles. A smile was brought to my face as my mate on his MT09 tried his bloody hardest to lose me ð Another rider who doesnt know about the performance of the TDM..... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - mintex - 21-04-2018 Been for the mot, passed no probs :good: What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Swarf - 22-04-2018 Following my mot pass, subsequent ride out and mass fuel evacuation earlier this week took the fairing, seat and tank off in 20 minutes (new record, think I'm going to fit some dry break fittings!!!). Stripped float bowls yet again, closely inspected the float valves (new) and then the seats, which showed a slight scoring so swapped them from some from me spares box.....eureka!!!! Dry as a bone. So far. ðð bloody old boikes.... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - dablik - 22-04-2018 I bought a couple of those dry brake fittings Neil and one of em literaly fell apart in me hands so i have left them off, would'nt a mk2 fuel tap fit the mk1 ! the bottom of the mk2 tank has an on/off tap on it, still have to remove the lines though if wanting the tank out of the way. Yeah, I think you have to spend out on some good fittings mind, the top end ones are pretty bloody spendy. I bet that's why the 4tx has a tap on the tank....ð If push comes to shove I can put a couple small ball valves in like on my sealey aux tank. Although hopefully I won't have to remove the bloody thing again for a while ... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - dablik - 22-04-2018 Good idea :good: What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - alanfavell - 22-04-2018 Ridden it to the Green Hut (240 miles round trip), for breakfast & chatter with Carpe members plus random Jaguar man (who was fine). What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - velf2003 - 22-04-2018 Today was a restday.  Yesterday was a trip in the Sauerland-region (Germany). Had a lovely ride. But 1.150 km and 14 hours in the sadlle is enough, my butt can`t take anymore.  So it seems that i need to practice longer trips more. A round 1.500 km in one day is the next goal i`m aiming at. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - drewpy - 22-04-2018 stripped the rear wheel and get blasted for the phase 2 of fitting R5 tyres.  knackered the rear disk though all because of one nasty bolt that stripped ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bjorge - 22-04-2018 Removed fork legs and calipers on the 9er, time for upgrades / service.  Finished DIY summer yesterday to prepare for bikes in front yard workshop ![]() |
