What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - leehenty - 18-10-2014 M0rt specifically asked for a single sided one, before ya all ask where the other pipe is. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - johnhowarth - 19-10-2014 After crushing a lower vertebrae when my 9er fell on me in the garage I have traded it in for an MT07, I had an extensive test ride on one and found it very light nippy and easy to ride, not a long distance touring bike but as I will be 71 in December my touring days are limited to sub 200m a day. The new bike is not due till Jan but I still have my XT250 for short trips, I have a Palmer products screen adjuster for sale at £45.00 + p&p, less than half price, if anybody would like to collect it I will throw in a cut down standard screen that i had fitted underneath it . I live 4 miles east of junc 34 M6. , tel 07989369042                                             Cheers, John What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - muddy - 19-10-2014 Quote:After crushing a lower vertebrae when my 9er fell on me in the garage I have traded it in for an MT07, I had an extensive test ride on one and found it very light nippy and easy to ride, not a long distance touring bike but as I will be 71 in December my touring days are limited to sub 200m a day. It looks a cracking bike. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - steve27bha - 21-10-2014 Gave it a once-over and wash in preparation for a three-day jaunt around the top and west of Scotland. 750 miles planned up as far a Durness and home via Skye.  Off ASAP Wed morning. (Or had by the time you get this!)   Last June went up through Scotland, across to Lewis and down through to Harris. I don't know if you have ever been that route, but staggering going down the West of Harris. Stunning just isn't the word. I really envy you where you live.  I will just have to put up with Snowdonia... ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - arthurbikemad - 22-10-2014 Nice looking TDM that! She doesn't do two wheels. Harris is magic.  Back home today and it got another wash after a couple of days of mixed weather, getting wetter as it went! However it was a great trip, getting to Durness at lunchtime on Thursday, as pictured. Not allowed unless you're a farmer or has other professional needs for a snowmobile. Ain't the same as a two-wheeler, wouldn't buy one anyhow.... What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - bikermike - 27-10-2014 Quote:Rode my TDM to work. Stopped at the red light. Heard the alarm sirens go off. Dropped my side stand, got off the bike (left it standing at the intersection -all other drivers left their cars too), sat low close to a concrete wall and waited. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - tomwal - 28-10-2014 Ordered pair of new exhausts from Fuel. My standard ones have small dents so I was able to justify the expense to myself. What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Rallyist - 31-10-2014 Took the Mk1 out for a run round the Derbyshire Dales had lunch at Monyash cafe with Blackpin, luverly warm day :good: What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Rewop - 01-11-2014 [attachment=o5353]I finally got the Givi top box, and pannier racks fitted to my TDM, thanks to advice from members on various fitting issues - picture attached. Whilst all the parts fitted reasonably well the instruction sheets provided are very basic and caused me a fair amount of head scratching.  Some things were a right pain to sort out - The V35 panniers tuck in very close to the bike so I had to move the rear indicators. They now hang from redundant bolt holes on the underside of the grab rail.  Moving the indicators meant all the rear plastic body work and rear light had to come off to get access to the wiring. The wiring wasn't long enough to reach the new indicator position so I had to extend it. Getting the plastic body work off was made more "fun" than it should have been by a hidden bolt not shown in the service manual.  The stays provided with the top box rack that run from the pillion foot pegs to the underside of the frame under the pillion seat can't be fitted with the V35 pannier rack which gets in the way, and shares the same foot peg bolts. I don't suppose this matters to much as the pannier frame provides some support.  My new E460N Top box has room for two helmets and can hold up to 10kg - brilliant you might think, except there is a sticker on the side of the pannier rack which gives a maximum weight limit of 6kg. As the Top box (with back rest) weighs 4.99Kg if I stick to the reccomendations the most I can put in to the Top box is a 1kg bag of sugar or similar - doh!  The total weight of the racks and luggage is just short of 18Kg.  Adding this to the combined weight of my missus and me and subtracting this from the 201kg maximum load carrying capacity of the TDM gives a luggage allowance of about 15kg which makes Ryanair look generous. Oh well it's a great incentive to start slimming - anyone know if silk Y fronts are lighter than cotton ones?  Cheers all    What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - Studley Ramrod - 01-11-2014 Paper thong ? ![]() What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today? - butcher650 - 01-11-2014 Fitted my modified carb to airbox rubbers, cleaned the air filter, cleaned lots of leccy connections, put spring washers on my battery screws, and then was going to fit my scottie, but lost light, and couldny find vacuum point of suitable place to mount rmv. |
