<!--/sizec--><!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

I cant be arsed to read through 12 pages of posts looking for an answer, so would like advise on the following:

- I believe bedding is supplied Y/N

- who do i contact on arrival (or do I just find you all down the nearest pub) ?

- where is the nearest pub ? (this is the important one)

- whats the plan regarding evening meals and breakfast (i'm a fat f*ck*r and I gota eat) eat at pub and bring own breakfast ??

- do we need to bring tea/coffee etc ??

- I guess its a light evening meal, glass or two of lemonade then early to bed Y/N

I have been watching this thread and will be there, just not sure if it will be camping or a day run as i live quite close.

I quite fancy the cake run, being short of stature, the passes don't really appeal (short legs and nasty cambers= falloff should there be a need to stop, at least in my case), and look forward to meeting you all.

Jankers, if you were coming on this where would you meet up.

Could you get over to Bellingham by 9.30 ?

Cheers, Ivan

alston, penrith, keswick, bit dry after that until nearer ambleside. not sure but i think there is one near gosforth as well.

as for the wrists I thought you were a rugby player surely you can handle that little run

for you i guess it will only be slow(er) (ish) from keswick round to the struggle, and you get to do hartside twice

Jankers,

What about a relaxing, Cake Cruise over through Rothbury, Wooler to Holy Island, 65 miles.

Leave Bellingham 9.30 ish, we would get there about 11.00 'ish. Have to be off the Island by 12.10, or your there for high tide party. which lasts 6 hrs.

After that we make our way back... via cake and scenic photo stops !!!!

Ivan...

September G2G 2008 - sidestand - 16-09-2008

I am getting very tempted to risk the wrath of Mrs Sidestand here ........
Might just start packing a tent & stuff on the sly, & need to put a good weekend's DIY in, missing the Tailender & the Gold Cup at Scarborough, plus Tigers vs Wasps on the Friday night........

Bugger......might just ask for a Saturday/Sunday pass & just have a pint with you all, as ...

1. We should whup Wasps on current form...........and
2. Not quite up to speed on the bike yet after me accident for Lakeland antics

Could do that, or go up to St Mary loch then across to East coast for a bite as someone mentioned.

I am easy on that, anything will suit, the only problem i can see is food could be a problem after 5pm on a Saturday in Scotland, i can happily exist on a snack or two, but it may feature more heavily for others.

I forgot about the famos 5.00 pm Scotish kerfew...

We'll be back a Bellingham, England, well before 5.00 depending where we go.

Dinner last year on the Saturday was a big affair up stairs in the pub, I think we had a table for 15 booked.

Food does play a Heavy part in the Carpe G2G, so does..........
